Role :- Senior Data Platform Solution Architect (Ecommerce)

Job Description

Owns the endtoend data platform architecture for an ecommerce business, covering ingestion, storage, modeling, governance, and analytics to enable scalable Data & AI use cases.

Key responsibilities
Define the Data Platform vision, target architecture, and roadmap aligned to ecommerce goals (customer 360, personalization, inventory, marketing attribution, etc.).
Design and oversee implementation of data lakehouse / warehouse, including batch and streaming pipelines from transactional, clickstream, and 3rdparty sources.
Define data models and medallionstyle layers (raw/bronze, curated/silver, semantic/gold) to support BI, experimentation, and AI workloads.
Establish data governance: data quality, cataloging, lineage, security, PII handling, and compliance (GDPR/CCPA) where relevant).
Guide technology

Required skills Senior Data Platform Solution Architect (Data)
15+ years in data engineering / data architecture, including 6–7+ years in solution / platform architect roles.
Solid experience designing and implementing data lake / lakehouse / warehouse platforms on at least one major cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).




Deep knowledge of data modeling and architecture patterns: dimensional modeling, data vault or similar, and medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architectures.
Hands-on experience with batch and streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka/PubSub, Spark, Flink).
Proficiency in SQL and Python programming language.
Familiarity with contemporary lakehouse and warehouse technologies (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Clickhouse) and orchestration tools (Airflow/Cloud Composer, Databricks Workflows, etc.).
Solid understanding of data governance, security and privacy: data cataloging, lineage, RBAC/ABAC, PII handling, GDPR/CCPA concepts.
Experience defining and implementing data quality frameworks and SLAs for analytical and ML use cases.
Prior work in ecommerce or digital consumer businesses is highly desirable (clickstream, customer 360, product catalog, orders, marketing data).
Excellent communication and stakeholder skills; able to translate between business needs and technical designs, and guide crossfunctional teams
