Key Responsibilities
Generate interim and final bills for admitted patients.
Verify room charges, investigations, pharmacy, procedures, OT, ICU, and consultant charges.
Ensure all services are accurately entered into the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, OT, and other departments to capture all billable services.
Process cashless and reimbursement cases by coordinating with TPAs and insurance companies.
Verify insurance approvals, pre-authorizations, and required documentation.
Resolve billing discrepancies before patient discharge.
Collect payments, process refunds, and maintain billing records.
Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare daily billing reports and support audits when required.
