Role Description The Accounting Associate role at PayTap is a full time, in office position based in Bengaluru. This entry-level role is heavily focused on day-to-day bookkeeping, managing and reconciling financial transactions, and maintaining organized financial records.
The Accounting
Associate will be responsible for end-to-end transaction reconciliation and will rely extensively on Zoho Books to accurately record all daily financial activities. You will collaborate with finance team members to support month-end closing processes, assist with basic financial reporting, and ensure all internal financial operations run smoothly. This position requires strong attention to detail, consistent documentation, and timely communication with internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience Level:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance operations (Early-career/entry-level professionals are encouraged to apply).
Core Accounting Skills: Strong foundation in day-to-day bookkeeping principles, accurate journal entries, and meticulous transaction reconciliation.
Software Proficiency: Extensive, practical experience using Zoho Books for recording, tracking, and reporting financial data is mandatory.
Analytical Skills: Well-developed ability to interpret numerical data, identify discrepancies during the reconciliation process, and ensure flawless financial accuracy.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related field.
Work Setup: Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, manage multiple tasks, and meet daily bookkeeping deadlines with accuracy.
Communication: Transparent, professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
