About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior US Tax Preparer (Individual Tax) to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing US individual tax returns, a strong understanding of IRS regulations, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely tax filings while maintaining high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review US Individual Income Tax Returns (Forms 1040 and related schedules).
Prepare tax returns accurately in compliance with US Federal and State tax regulations.
Gather, review, and organize client financial and tax-related documents.
Identify missing information and communicate with clients to obtain required documentation.
Perform tax research and apply relevant tax laws to individual tax returns.
Assist in tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
Respond to IRS notices and assist in resolving tax-related matters.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tax engagements while meeting strict deadlines.
Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
Collaborate with managers and team members to improve workflow and service quality.
Stay updated with changes in US tax laws, IRS regulations, and filing requirements.
Mentor and support junior tax preparers whenever required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in US Individual Tax Preparation.
Solid knowledge of US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040), Schedule A, B, C, D, E, and related forms.
Good understanding of US Federal and State tax regulations.
Experience preparing tax returns for individuals with accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in US tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, GoSystem Tax RS, or similar platforms.
Valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple tax returns and meet deadlines during busy tax seasons.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Willingness to work in the US PST (Night Shift).
