Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Costing Engineer to join our sheet metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will evaluate manufacturing feasibility, prepare accurate costings, handle customer quotations, and coordinate closely with production and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Read, interpret, and analyse 2D and 3D drawings for manufacturing feasibility.
Verify sheet metal part designs and provide feedback on manufacturability.
Perform DXF conversions using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations using Excel.
Send quotations to customers and negotiate pricing effectively.
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
Maintain records of quotations, pricing, and costing analyses.

Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for drawing interpretation and DXF conversions.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas,



tables, and cost analysis tools.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and manufacturing constraints.
Valuable communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
ERP - Hands-on knowledge for managing orders, quotations, and inventory.
Hands-on experience with ABC (Activity-Based Costing) and ZBC cost estimation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing sales/costing roles.
