Role Description

Provide leadership and guidance around Manufacturing feasibility from initial concept development through to factory launch, in the area of Body Structure Closures Joining Assembly process

Responsibilities
Manage excellence in the BIW Assy team
Deliver feasibility support to ensure design meets manufacturing processes from a part to vehicle level through the various stages
Take responsibility to mentor, train and develop the AMEC team




Awareness of market trends and developments in order to influence and manage the future development of the team
Providing appropriate support and guidance to BIW and Closures teams
Work with other departments and functions as required forming simulations
Coordinate digital build for BIW assembly
Identify coupon test requirements

Knowledge / Requirements
Knowledge of mixed material structures Steel, Aluminium
Knowledge of Body assembly method (RSW, SPRs, FDSs, CMT Welding, Mono-Bolts, Adhesives etc)
Knowledge of assembly processes applicable to low and to high volume manufacture
Knowledge of GDT
Knowledge of Catia V5
