Posted July 8, 2025 Back to Listings Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Location: Alpine Surgical – Boulder, CO Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Position Summary Alpine Surgical is seeking a qualified and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to support our experienced general and vascular surgeons. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical setting. Prior experience in general surgery is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories
Prepare procedure rooms and assist providers with minor surgical procedures
Coordinate pre-op and post-op patient instructions and follow-up
Handle prior authorizations and surgical scheduling as needed
Maintain clinical supply inventory and ensure exam room readiness
Accurately document in the electronic health record system (Athenahealth preferred)
Support front office functions when needed (phones, messages,
patient check-in)
Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and staff, including in both English and Spanish if bilingual Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required
Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
BLS/CPR certification required
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical assistant; general surgery experience preferred
Experience with electronic medical records; Athenahealth experience preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Work Schedule Full time, 4-10hr shifts
