Role Description The CPC (Certified Professional Coder) will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate ICD, CPT, and modifier codes in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include verifying coding for claims prior to submission, supporting denial management by identifying coding-related issues, and assisting with coding audits to maintain compliance and optimize revenue. The role involves collaborating with billing staff and clinical teams to clarify documentation, address coding questions,



and support process improvements.

This is a full time, in office position based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in medical coding using ICD, CPT, and modifiers, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Experience with medical billing workflows, claims submission, and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims.

Ability to analyze clearinghouse rejection reports and denial trends to recommend corrective actions.

Solid understanding of payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and revenue cycle best practices.

Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with clinical and billing teams.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent recognized coding certification preferred.

Prior experience in a medical billing or coding role;

experience in high-volume environments is an advantage.

Comfort working in office in Ahmedabad and collaborating in a team-based, performance-driven setting.
