Role Description This is a full time, HO based Credit Manager role based in the Gurugram Area.
The Credit
Manager will oversee the assessment, approval, and monitoring of credit proposals, ensuring alignment with SVCL’s credit policies and risk appetite. Daily responsibilities include reviewing financial and non-financial information of borrowers, analyzing creditworthiness, and recommending appropriate credit limits and terms. The role involves managing credit risk for a defined portfolio,
tracking repayment performance, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
The Credit
Manager will collaborate with branch teams to improve credit processes, provide guidance on documentation and compliance, and support training initiatives to strengthen credit discipline across the network.
Qualifications
Robust credit management skills, including experience in Credit Management and Credit evaluation.
Proficiency in Credit Risk Management, with the ability to identify, measure, and mitigate portfolio risks.
Robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial statements, borrower data, and portfolio trends.
Solid understanding of Finance principles and credit products relevant to microfinance and rural lending.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Experience in microfinance, rural banking, or lending to low-income segments is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site with branch and field teams, including periodic travel to branch locations.
Robust communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with attention to compliance and ethical standards.
