Responsibilities

Manage the complete purchasing cycle from requirement to delivery, including supplier selection, assessment, and audits.

Read and interpret technical drawings with a robust understanding of materials, processes, and manufacturing principles.

Track raw material pricing and market trends, particularly various grades of steel.

Conduct zero-based costing and cost analysis for procurement activities.

Negotiate complex terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency.

Perform supplier capacity planning, scheduling, and monthly forecasting.

Handle local dispatches and procurement through MM for projects.

Support pre-sales activities by obtaining quotations as per RFQs.

Oversee inventory management and support WMS implementation.

Coordinate procurement activities with teams in Japan and Germany and contribute to Asia supply chain proposals.

Manage procurement of mechanical, electrical, and electronic bought-out parts, as well as factory and utility-related spare parts.

Monitor and forecast demand levels while tracking inventory.

Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) supplier deliveries through strong follow-up.

Drive product localization and sourcing initiatives.

Develop and evaluate vendors, including annual rate contracts.





Provide fact-based advice and conduct market/industry analysis.

Identify and mitigate procurement risks.

Requirements

6 8 years of experience in purchasing within automotive and manufacturing industries.

Knowledge of machining, fabrication, painting, and related costing parameters.

Solid understanding of MRP and production planning; SAP experience preferred.

Familiarity with the P2P process.

Experience in vendor evaluation, vendor development, and supplier networking.

Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP.

Experience implementing procurement systems.
