Job Description
Mechanical Architecture & Structural Design Enclosure Design:

Design motor frames, end-shields, and terminal boxes using cast iron, aluminum, or fabricated steel, ensuring appropriate IP (Ingress Protection) ratings.

Rotor & Shaft Dynamics: Lead the design of shafts and rotor laminations, performing critical speed analysis and balancing calculations to minimize vibration.

Bearing & Lubrication Systems: Select and validate bearings (ball, roller, or insulated) based on axial/radial load requirements and life cycle calculations.

Tolerance Stack-up: Perform rigorous tolerance analysis to ensure air-gap consistency between the stator and rotor, which is critical for electrical performance.
Thermal & Fluid Simulation Cooling Systems: Design and optimize cooling methods, including TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled), Liquid Cooling jackets, or forced ventilation.

Thermal Modeling: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to predict "hot spots" in windings and ensure the insulation class (Class F/H) is never exceeded.
Advanced Engineering & Documentation (20%)Vibration & Noise (NVH):





Lead the analysis of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) to meet industry standards and customer comfort requirements.

DFM/DFA: Implement Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles to reduce production costs at your Khadki or vendor facilities.

CAD/PLM Integration: Oversee the creation of detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks, NX, or Creo, and manage the engineering data within Windchill/PLM.
Leadership & Supplier Integration vendor Development: Work with foundries and machining partners to ensure mechanical components meet high precision standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the E&E; Head to align mechanical constraints with electromagnetic requirements.
