Fortune Agromart Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Entomologist to support our crop protection and sustainable farming initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with the field team to identify insect pests, monitor pest incidence, evaluate pesticide performance, and provide technical recommendations for effective pest management. The role also includes managing the Laboratory at our Jewar Fasal Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Field Responsibilities

Monitor insect pest populations in farmers' fields.

Identify insect species and assess pest infestation levels.

Study the effectiveness of insecticides and recommend suitable pest management practices.

Conduct field trials and collect insect-related data.

Diagnose insect damage and provide technical guidance to field teams and farmers.

Prepare field reports and maintain accurate records.

Support product demonstrations, farmer meetings, and technical training programs.

Collaborate with the Agronomy and R&D; teams on crop protection projects.

Laboratory Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory at Jewar Fasal Clinic.





Examine and identify insect pests and crop damage from farmer-submitted plant samples.

Monitor and manage the AI-powered Insect Monitoring System for continuous pest surveillance.

Review and analyze insect monitoring reports to identify pest trends, detect early infestations, and recommend timely crop protection measures.

Maintain laboratory records, sample registers, and diagnostic reports.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials.

Assist in preparing technical recommendations based on laboratory observations.

Coordinate with the field team to validate field observations and laboratory findings.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Entomology (Preferred).

Solid knowledge of insect pests, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and insecticide evaluation.

Willingness to travel for field visits.

Valuable communication, reporting, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in insect identification and pest surveillance.

Knowledge of crop protection products and pesticide efficacy.

Experience in handling laboratory samples and maintaining laboratory records.

Familiarity with digital data collection and reporting tools is an added advantage.
