Electrical Design Engineer – Solar

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering

Job Responsibilities
Lead electrical design and detailed engineering for Solar PV Rooftop and Ground-Mounted Projects.
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
Design DC and AC systems including cable sizing, voltage drop, earthing, lightning protection, and protection systems.
Perform electrical load calculations and prepare BOQ/BOM and technical specifications.
Review and approve electrical drawings, design calculations, and engineering documents.
Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Procurement, Project Execution, and Vendors for project requirements.
Select and technically evaluate transformers, HT/LT panels, inverters, SCADA, cables, RMU, CT/PT, and other electrical equipment.
Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, CEA requirements, and project specifications.
Support site teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.




Conduct technical reviews and resolve design-related issues during project execution.
Mentor junior engineers and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of Solar PV Electrical Design and Engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
Knowledge of PVsyst, ETAP/PowerFactory will be an advantage.
Good understanding of HT/LT systems, protection coordination, earthing, lightning protection, and grid connectivity.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and project management skills.
Experience in EPC solar projects preferred.

Key Requirements
5–8 years of relevant experience in Solar PV Electrical Design/Engineering.
Solid experience in Ground-Mounted / Rooftop Solar Projects.
Candidates with Solar EPC experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
