Project Planning & Control
Plan, execute, monitor, and control design and engineering activities
Ensure achievement of timelines, cost, quality, and performance targets
Technical Knowledge & Expertise
Robust understanding of mechanical equipment
Knowledge of specifications, features, and functionality
Design & Engineering Application
Apply engineering principles in drawings and schematics
Ensure manufacturability, constructability, and safety compliance
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead technical discussions with clients
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager
Engineering Analysis & Evaluation
Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing
Evaluate designs considering performance and cost
Quality Assurance & Testing
Test and validate designs against specifications
Maintain first time-right quality standards
Value Engineering
Apply value engineering techniques
Identify and implement cost-effective solutions
Risk Identification & Mitigation
Identify engineering risks and issues early
Implement appropriate mitigation actions
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors
Gather required inputs for design development
Documentation & Communication
Verify technical documents (drawings, specs,
calculations)
Ensure transparent communication to all stakeholders
Support in Vendor Selection
Provide inputs for selecting engineering subcontractors
Assist the Project Manager in decision-making
Technical Competence
Sound Technical Knowledge in relevant field (Process, Electricals, Piping & Instrumentation)
Process and Functional Knowledge (including CAD)
Exposure to major client / PMCs specifications and guidelines
Should have in-depth knowledge of power plant packages i.e., Boiler, Turbine, ACC/WCC, FHS, AHS, WTP and BOP.
The incumbent should have an experience in designing of Power Plant.
Knowledge of Software like SteamPro, CAESAR II will be an added advantage
Proven experience in multidisciplinary coordination (Mechanical, E&I;, Process).
