Job Responsibilities
Sr Engineer duties for OLE design Schemes.
Delivery and management of the production of technical designs for OLE including Layout Plans, Cross Sections, Allocations, Isolation Diagrams updates, bonding designs, and supporting reports and calculations.
Ensuring designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructable, and apply Protected by Design principles.
Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractors
Respond to design queries during construction phase and attend online meetings if required.

Minimum Requirements
Proven designer experience of significant Overhead Line technical design
Comprehensive knowledge and Experienced in OLEMI and other OLE ranges i.e. UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF, UK1 etc.
Familiar with Isolation diagrams and their update process.
Understanding of Earthing & Bonding required for electrification
Proficient in Bentley MicroStation/MicroStation Connect -3D Design capability




Excellent communication and organization Skills.
Understanding of CSM-RA & Health and Safety including CDM
Experience in managing teams.
Candidates will be able to provide experience of working in a 3D common data setting working to BIM procedures and practices.
Ability to develop OLE designs through the different stages of the project life cycle for complex sites
Knowledge of the design processes of other rail disciplines and how they may impact OLE designs.

Preferred Qualifications
BEng or MEng degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering +6 year Exp
Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a skilled institution.
