Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic, agile F&B; Category Intern to join our corporate category management team. If you are an IHM graduate looking to transition your hands-on culinary background into category strategy, vendor relations, and data-driven growth, this role is for you. You will play a crucial part in shaping our food offerings, optimizing vendor partnerships, and analyzing consumer food trends.
Key Responsibilities Vendor Management: Assist in onboarding, managing, and negotiating commercial terms with food suppliers and culinary partners.
Menu Strategy: Apply menu engineering principles to help optimize product mixes, pricing strategies, and margins.
Trend Analysis:
Track regional and global food trends to identify current product development (NPD) opportunities.
Data Operations: Learn and utilize data analysis tools to track category performance, wastage, and sales metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between central kitchen operations, vendors, and the marketing team.
Requirements & Qualifications Education: Recent graduate from a recognized Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) or premier hospitality institute.
Current Status: Currently seeking or pursuing a corporate internship post-hospitality graduation.
Experience: Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen (running hotel or standalone restaurant).
Skills: Strong baseline knowledge of food cost control, culinary terminologies, and vendor interactions.
Aptitude: High analytical mindset with a solid willingness to learn data spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and food data analysis.
