Role & responsibilities
Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Robust networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, routing and packet-level diagnostics).
A robust understanding of monitoring architecture and tooling (OBM, SiteScope, PagerDuty, Dynatrace, SCOM or equivalents).
Robust ITIL incident, problem and major-incident management experience.
Proven scripting and automation ability (PowerShell, Python or Bash) with a delivery track record.
The ability to mentor and set standards, and a commitment to fixed early / late shift cover.

Beneficial Skills / Experience
ITIL Intermediate / Practitioner (or higher) certification.
Any prior NOC, command-centre, data-centre or service-desk experience.
Experience with AIOps, observability platforms and event correlation.
Cloud, database or middleware awareness, and DR leadership experience.
Experience improving operational processes and reducing manual toil at scale.
