Role Description The Junior Architect internship at The Open Room is an in office role based in Chennai. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting architectural design development, assisting with drawings and 3D models, and contributing to concept presentations. The intern will help in coordinating project documentation, participating in design reviews, and collaborating with senior team members on ongoing architectural and learning-focused projects.

The role may also involve basic research on materials, codes,



and user experience, as well as assisting in the integration of design workflows with digital tools used in the studio.

Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to contribute to drawings, models, and concept development.
Basic understanding of Software Development and Integration as applied to design tools, workflows, or learning platforms.
Interest or exposure in Project Management, including organizing tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating with team members.
Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, or similar), and familiarity with presentation tools.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a studio environment and receive constructive feedback.
Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and openness to working at the intersection of architecture, education, and technology.
