Role Purpose

Design and build an AI-enabled Jira Planning Agent that converts Change Requests, intake templates, BRDs, email inputs or stakeholder notes into structured Jira Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks and Acceptance Criteria with review-and-approve controls before publishing.

Key Responsibilities

Design CR intake approach using Excel, Forms, SharePoint, Power Apps or chat-based agent interaction.

Build an agent that asks missing requirement questions one by one before creating Jira artefacts.

Generate Epic, Feature, User Story, Task and Sub-task structures from CR details or requirement documents.

Create explicit descriptions, business outcomes, acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, risks and priority recommendations.

Integrate with Jira APIs to create, update, link and track delivery artefacts after human approval.

Design mappings between Change Requests, Epics, Features, Stories, defects and application/service records.





Work with Product Owners, Application Owners and delivery teams to define standards for Jira artefact quality and traceability.

Experience: 7 to 10 years.

Required Skills

Solid Jira experience across workflows, issue types, fields, automation, permissions and APIs.

Positive understanding of Agile delivery, backlog management, Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Ready / Done.

Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Excel/Forms/SharePoint and API integrations.

Ability to translate business change requests into structured delivery backlog items.

Experience designing approval workflows and audit trails before automated Jira publishing.
