Responsibilities:
Hand on experience of design & development of Genset control panels.
Should have positive knowledge of Engine wiring harness & other power/control harness used in the DG sets.
Valuable knowledge of design standards used in the Genset.
Required design software knowledge like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN (Pro panel and Pro harness), CREO Experience.
Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for diesel generator sets, control panels, and switchgears according to MIL standards
Design and integrate AMF /ATP Panels with respect to Customer requirements, and having a knowledge of Genset controllers like Deep Sea Electronics.
Components and MIL connectors selections.
Development of control panel fabrication in 3D model and Knowledge of IP rating and EMI/EMC panel requirements
Perform critical electrical engineering calculations, including:
Cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
Short-circuit current analysis and breaker sizing.
Select and specify major electrical components (circuit breakers, CTs, AVRs, governors, and protection relays).
Selection of power cables as per tender and Standard requirements.
Deep understanding of alternators, excitation systems (AVR), governing systems, Switch gear, Relay ,cables and Protective system selections.
Have knowledge of Bill of material preparation, PLM process.
Testing & Support
Have hands on experience of Genset testing with reference with the testing standards like JS55555, MIL 461G.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor during assembly and to field teams during testing and commissioning.
Have knowledge of Genset environmental testing.
