Role Overview The Manager Projects & IT will support end-to-end execution of initiatives under the India AI Mission, with a focus on AI compute infrastructure, Compute Portal operations, and stakeholder coordination. The role involves assisting in project implementation, managing compute allocation and user operations, and ensuring seamless functioning of the compute ecosystem.
Role & responsibilities
Project Support: Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of AI infrastructure and ecosystem projects
RFP/RFE Coordination: Support end-to-end procurement processes including documentation, evaluations, and stakeholder coordination
Compute Portal Operations: Support day-to-day functioning of the India AI Compute Portal, including enhancements and performance tracking
Compute Allocation & Monitoring: Assist in allocation of GPU resources and track utilization as per defined policies
User Onboarding & Support: Handle onboarding of users (startups, academia, government) and provide first-level issue resolution
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with CSPs, OEMs, and partners for provisioning, integration, and issue resolution
Vendor & Contract Support: Assist in SLA monitoring, vendor coordination, and contract management activities
Data & Reporting: Prepare dashboards,
utilization reports, and project status updates for leadership
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to security protocols, maintain SOPs, and support audit/documentation requirements
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 6 years of relevant postqualification experience.
At least 3 years experience in a supervisory, coordination, or managerial role involving technology program, infrastructure projects, or compute systems.
Prior experience in Government / PSU / Mission Mode Projects / National Digital Program will be preferred.
Familiarity with Government of India procedures, file processing, financial rules, and administrative processes is desirable.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Experience in planning, deployment, or management of largescale compute or IT infrastructure.
Experience in implementation and coordination of technology programmer in government, PSU, or large institutional settings.
Solid documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
Educational Qualification
Bachelors or masters degree in engineering / Technology / Computer Science / IT / Electronics or related discipline from a UGC/AICTErecognized University/Institution.
