Role Description The Medical Coder ED Profee & Facility is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai(Karapakkam, OMR). This role involves reviewing emergency department skilled and facility documentation, assigning appropriate medical codes, and ensuring coding accuracy in alignment with regulatory and payer guidelines. The medical coder will validate medical necessity, capture all billable services, and work closely with billing and clinical teams to resolve coding-related queries.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards,



following internal quality benchmarks, and contributing to efficient claim submission and reimbursement processes. Qualifications

Demonstrated medical coding experience, particularly in emergency department professional and facility services.

Knowledge of medical terminology and health information management principles.

Understanding of medical coding systems and guidelines, including relevant coding standards and payer rules.

Credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certifications in health information management or medical coding are preferred.

Robust attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.

Proficiency with coding and billing software, and comfort working with electronic health records.

Diploma or degree in health information management, medical coding, or a related healthcare field.

Ability to work on-site in Chennai(Karapakkam, OMR) and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
