Working Knowledge of L2 protocols- (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq , 802.3ah , 802.1ag/Y.1731 (Ethernet OAM/CFM))
Working Knowledge of Layer-3 Protocols - IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS, BGP4, IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM
Exposure to VxLAN, L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS) and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) technologies
Robust Knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies.
Experience in performance and throughput testing
Experience in working with test tools like Ixia, Smartbits, STC and packet sniffers.
Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Tcl and Tk.
Experience with Rational ClearQuest or other bug tracking tools
Experience in test case management tools like Quality Center
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
