Required skills and qualifications for Project Manager-Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
10 years of proven experience in mechanical project management.
Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems and components.
Proficiency in project management software and mechanical design tools.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality mechanical projects.
Solid problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions in dynamic project environments.
Knowledge of environmental and sustainability practices in mechanical engineering.
Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
Awareness of industry-specific codes and regulations in India.
Proficiency in project design and planning, management, costing and documentation.
Role & Responsibilities of Project Manager-(Mechanical)
1-Oversee mechanical erection of pumps, pipelines, valves, and treatment units.
2-Ensure work matches project drawings and technical standards.
3-Manage site teams, daily progress, and material delivery.
4-Plan hydrostatic tests, dry runs, and wet commissioning of systems.
5-Resolve site issues during trial runs with engineering teams.
6-Hand over fully working plants to clients after final approval
7-Create regular schedules for servicing pumps, motors, and pipes.
8-Track equipment performance to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
9-Fix mechanical faults quickly to keep water flow steady.
10-Enforce strict safety rules on site to protect all workers.
11-Check quality of incoming parts and completed mechanical work.
12-Keep daily logs and safety records up to date.
