Role Description The UK Rebar Detailer role in Chennai is a full-time, in office position focused on preparing detailed reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules for UK-based projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting structural and architectural drawings, producing precise shop drawings and rebar details, and ensuring compliance with relevant UK standards and project specifications. The role involves coordinating with engineering teams, clarifying technical queries,



and updating drawings based on design changes or site feedback.

The Rebar

Detailer will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all detailing outputs.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid skills in Rebar detailing and Steel Detailing for structural and RCC elements.

Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings and interpreting Architectural Drawings.

Candidates should possess knowledge of Steel Structures and related codes or standards, preferably including UK practices.

Relevant diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.

Experience working with CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, CADS RC or similar) is highly beneficial.

Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret complex drawings, and commitment to quality and accuracy.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Previous experience in rebar detailing for international projects, especially UK projects, will be an advantage.
