About the role
Job Summary
Execute planned and emergency service activities safely and in accordance with Sulzer’s standard operating procedures, delivering best‑in‑class service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Strip, inspect, and rebuild pumps, mixers, compressors, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery across various sectors and OEMs, following pre‑defined work scopes or using sound judgment during emergency repairs and problem‑solving situations.
• Complete all work in line with current Sulzer instructions and established engineering practices.
• Work to the clearances and tolerances defined by manufacturer specifications or engineering standards.
• Prepare written work procedures when required.
• Perform point‑of‑work safety assessments at least once per day or when changing activities.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is available before starting planned activities, including RAMS and COSHH assessments.




• Complete all required quality documentation in accordance with Sulzer quality systems and job instructions.
• Lead and supervise customer‑supplied support personnel as needed; may act as team lead for groups of Sulzer technicians.
• Upon completion of field service assignments, ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned, returned on time, and in good condition.
• Ensure the worksite is cleaned and organized to meet customer expectations and Sulzer standards.

Qualifications
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in the assembly, operation, and testing of pumps and related rotating equipment.
• Experience in installation and commissioning within a contracting environment.
• Supervisory experience.
• General computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
• Ability to act independently.
