Description As a UX Intern, you will work closely with UX designers, researchers, and product teams to translate insights about human cognition and behavior into actionable design improvements. You will contribute to research activities, synthesize findings, and help shape user-centered features across multimodal interaction systems (e.g., voice, gaze, touch, and AI-driven interfaces). This role is ideal for students interested in applying psychological principles to real-world product design, especially in emerging areas such as in-car experiences, AI assistants, and human–machine interaction.
Responsibilities
Support user research activities (e.g., usability tests, interviews, field studies)
Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear UX insights
Contribute to personas, journey maps, and cognitive models
Collaborate with designers to translate research findings into UX/UI improvements
Help evaluate interaction concepts across multimodal systems (voice, touch, gaze, etc.)
Assist in defining and validating human-centered design principles
Document results and create presentable insights for stakeholders
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Systems, Human Factors, or related field
Solid understanding of human cognition, perception, and behavior
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate research into actionable insights
Interest in human-computer interaction (HCI) and UX design
Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
Structured, curious, and proactive working style
Nice to Have
Experience with UX research methods (usability testing, interviews, surveys)
Familiarity with UX tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Dovetail, etc.)
Interest in automotive UX, AI systems, or multimodal interaction
Basic understanding of experimental design or statistics
