Summary Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer position in the Project Execution department requires a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and six years of experience in Project Engineering. The role involves managing project documents, coordinating with internal and external partners, tracking and mitigating changes, and ensuring project goals are met. The position requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to safety and a willingness to travel. There are no supervisory responsibilities, but the role includes potential backup for the Project Director/Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Meet or exceed the company’s safety standards
• Comply with E&C; Global and Local engineering standards and other industry standards
• Work, collaborate and coordinate assigned discipline engineering resources as an active team member and leader,
either with local and/or with remote international team members and peers
• Manage carefully all project documents from Project Development to Handover to entity, ensuring deliverables meet the required specifications and ensuring quality and consistency
• Manage and challenge external/internal suppliers of goods and services to ensure project goals are met
• Expedite external / internal suppliers where required to assist the project in meeting delivery goals
• Assist in maintaining a log of communications between external partners for later reference as required
• Manage project schedule actively and report any delays promptly to the Project Director / Manager
• Ensure project execution plan is followed and assist in maintaining and updating the plan
• Manage communication within the project between internal and external partners by consistently following the communication plan and updating as required
• Identify, track and mitigate impact of any and all changes generated during various project phases. Manage approval in a timely fashion, including maintaining a change log and engaging in appropriate escalation of open changes to expedite resolution
• Follow-up and prompt close out of action items generated during the project, as the list of open items will be reviewed monthly with the Project Director / Manager
• Establish and maintain working knowledge of all aspects of the project to be able to fill in for the Project Director / Manager when required
• Is able to assist/backup Project Director/Manager in Project Management tasks of the Project #LI-DNI

Required Qualifications
• B.S. or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required
• 6 years of experience in Project Engineering role within related Industrial Design or operations
• Able to effectively interface with various disciplines / organizations
• Able to effectively work within a diverse, international organizations
• Diverse technical knowledge in relevant fields of Engineering and associated relationship between engineering and construction functions in regards to safety, quality, cost and schedule impacts
• Willingness to travel frequently domestically and overseas
• Onsite construction experience with chemical plant or gaseous separation facilities an advantage
