Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and monitor the site safety management plan in line with client, statutory, and company requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections, safety walks, and audits across all active work zones to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations (Factories Act, BOCW Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc.).
- Prepare and update Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), and Method Statements for all site activities.
- Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear across the site.
- Conduct safety induction training for current workers, staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Organise regular Toolbox Talks (TBTs) in the morning, safety training, and awareness programs.
- Ensure Quarterly Mock Drills are conducted through the contractor.
- Monitor high-risk activities including excavation, road works, basement / confined space entry, working at heights, waterproofing, hot works, and lifting operations.
- Issue and manage Work Permits (Excavation, Height, Hot Work, Confined Space, Electrical, etc.).
- Ensure safe execution of infra activities including road cutting, drainage laying, compound wall construction, landscape works,



and basement ventilation systems.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation including inspection reports, training records, incident logs, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety norms and site protocols.
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills including fire, evacuation, and first-aid response.
- Monitor housekeeping, waste management, traffic management, and environmental controls at the site.
- Liaise with client safety teams, government authorities, and third-party auditors during inspections and audits.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety MIS reports to project management.
- Drive safety awareness campaigns, safety weeks, and behaviour-based safety (BBS) programs.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials, chemicals, and construction debris.
- Coordinate with the local traffic police and civic bodies for safe execution of roadside activities, where applicable.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Diploma / Degree in Engineering with ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety)



or PDIS from a recognised institute (mandatory).
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certification is highly preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant safety experience in infrastructure / civil / upgradation projects (road, drainage, basement, and landscape works).
- Strong knowledge of Indian EHS legislation, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA standards.
- Hands-on experience managing safety for excavation, road works, waterproofing, drainage, and basement ventilation activities.
- Proficiency in incident investigation, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems.
- Sound understanding of firefighting systems, first aid, and emergency response protocols.
- Familiarity with traffic management planning for road-side / infra works.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to enforce safety discipline on site.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.

Pay: ₹58,000.00 - ₹67,000.00 per month
