Experience description

- 4+ years of experience working independently in programming for CNC machines for gear grinding
- Experience with Gear grinding operations
- Experience with Boring operations
- Experience with Milling operations
- Experience with Turning operations
- Operating on one of the specific machines
- Proficiency in Siemens 840D controls

Educational: Diploma in mechanical, Bachelor's preferred

Required-

- Gears - Experience Gear grinding operations
- Machine experience - Operating experience with either Höfler RAPID 2000 A/I CNC (double stander) or Höfler RAPID 6000 A/I CNC (double stander) Sinumerik 840D 6000 mm
- Siemens - Controls 840 D

Roles & reponsibilities:

As a CNC machine operator, you are responsible for the production of a wide variety of precision parts. CNC Machine Operators work from written instructions and blueprints (2D) to machine parts (3D) to specifications.

- Operate a CNC grinding machine in a fast-paced workplace
- Produce a variety of precision parts
- Work from written instructions and blueprints
- Perform checks using gauges and fixtures to ensure specifications
- Use common hand tools for production and finishing
- Operate and program CNC grinding machines
- Ensure quality parts while minimizing scrap and rework
- Perform basic machine set-ups and program edits
- Recognize and resolve tooling wear problems
