Job Title: Infrastructure Support Administrator

Shift Timings: 6AM to 2.30 PM, 9.30 AM to 6 PM, Rollover days. 365 days a year.

Working Days: 5 Days

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Infrastructure Support Administrator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the first line of defence for our server and cloud environment, ensuring high availability and performance during overnight hours.

You will initially focus on monitoring and remediating alerts via PRTG, performing health checks on Windows/Linux servers, and supporting our Azure and Microsoft Entra environments. As the role evolves, you will take ownership of server patching and advanced infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitoring & Remediation: Monitor the PRTG dashboard, validate alerts, and execute documented runbooks to resolve incidents quickly.

- Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis for Windows Server issues (CPU, memory, services, Event Viewer) and basic Linux administration tasks.

- Cloud & Identity Support: Support Azure VM health, networking, and monitor Entra ID sign-in logs for authentication issues.

- Incident Management: Escalate complex incidents requiring specialized knowledge, vendor support, or production changes while documenting all actions taken.

- Maintenance: Participate in overnight maintenance activities and eventually execute approved patching workflows (Windows/Linux).

- Documentation: Maintain detailed incident notes, shift handoff summaries, and contribute to the improvement of knowledge articles and runbooks.

Required Technical Skills

- Windows Server: Strong troubleshooting skills (Event Viewer, Services, Task Manager, PowerShell) for performance and service-related issues.





- Linux Admin: Basic command-line proficiency (CPU, memory, disk usage, logs, SSH).

- Monitoring (PRTG): Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools; ability to distinguish between informational, warning, and critical alerts.

- Microsoft Azure: Knowledge of VMs, Resource Groups, Networking (VNETs/NSGs), and Azure Monitor.

- Microsoft Entra (Azure AD): Familiarity with user/group management, authentication logs, MFA, and Conditional Access.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with enterprise patching tools (e.g., Azure Update Manager, WSUS, MECM/SCCM).

- Understanding of backup validation and restore considerations.

- Familiarity with virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V).

Operational Requirements

- Must be available for a consistent overnight shift.

- Excellent written communication skills for incident notes and shift handoffs.

- Ability to prioritize alerts based on business impact and follow security/compliance protocols rigorously.
