Role Summary

This is a Senior Full Stack Engineer position focused on building and scaling real-time web applications for a global B2B hotel marketplace. The engineer will work across both frontend and backend while designing highly scalable, cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop backend microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Build responsive frontend applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Redux.
- Design and consume REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Build event-driven systems using Kafka or AWS SQS for asynchronous communication.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS ECS.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Frontend

- React.js

Ideal Candidate

- 6–10 years of Full Stack development experience.
- Has built and maintained production-scale applications.




- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Exposure to scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise data platforms is a strong advantage.

What to Screen During Recruitment

- Hands-on experience with Java + Spring Boot.
- Strong React.js development in production.
- Experience with Kafka/SQS and asynchronous messaging.
- Knowledge of AWS ECS and cloud deployments.
- Experience designing scalable microservices.
- Database optimization experience (MySQL/MongoDB).
- Ability to work across frontend and backend independently.

Red Flags

- Only frontend or only backend experience.
- No production experience with Java Spring Boot.
- No exposure to cloud (AWS) or microservices.
- Limited experience with messaging systems (Kafka/SQS).
- Mostly maintenance/support work with little ownership of architecture.

This is essentially a backend-heavy Full Stack role, where the expectation is robust expertise in Java + Spring Boot, complemented by solid React.js skills, along with experience building cloud-native, event-driven microservices on AWS.
