Job Responsibilities:

- Build and lead a team of Structural Engineers, BIM & Construction Methods and Planning.

- Build proposal for Structural System/Framing to adopt Precast construction

- Concept development and design philosophy verification
- Construction friendly design approach
- Complete LLRS design for preliminary as well as detailed analysis
- Prepare budgetary design BoQs
- Interact with Internal and External clients to present and convert proposals

- Peer Review (verification of design and detailing of elements and connections) -

- Review assigned projects from various L&T; construction IC in the areas of buildings and infrastructure projects, to ensure accuracy, standardization and structural integrity in permanent as well as construction phases.

- Finite element modelling of various design elements involved in precast construction for both permanent and temporary design. Micro level modelling and analysis of connections, moulds, lifting devices for value engineering

- Research and development related to precast and its application.

- Evaluation of up-to-date materials as well as methodologies
- Explore value engineering areas beyond the conventional wisdom to build cost effective micro solutions, develop suitable test programs, analyse and review reports that will aid design efficiency

- Site Interaction and Inspections





- Visit various sites frequently for a first hand understanding of challenges and evaluation of performance of adopted solutions.
- Focus on continual marginal improvement in design and execution.

- Digital

- Develop AI enabled design automation.
- Lead the adoption of BIM, digital engineering tools, and centralized design databases to enhance collaboration and project delivery.
- Evaluate and implement advanced software solutions to improve design efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

- Automation

- Focus on construction automation for advanced automatic moulds/ robotics and precast factories.
- Drive AI-enabled design automation and value engineering initiatives to enhance productivity and optimize design processes.
- Develop scalable, reusable design solutions with multiple applications across diverse infrastructure and building sectors.

- Standardization

- Build L&T; construction wide precast standardization for moulds and elements.
- Develop and maintain standardized precast design databases, elements, moulds, and sub-systems for efficient reuse across projects.
- Drive standardization of sizes, moulds, and modular design systems to improve quality and cost efficiency.
