- Analyze medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Review and update existing coding systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify coding discrepancies.
- Develop and implement new coding guidelines and policies.
- Conduct quality checks on coded data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Provide training and support to junior coders on coding best practices.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of coding principles, including E/M, CCS, Surgery, COC, Multi-specialty Denials, CPC, Anesthesia, Medical Coding, and Radiology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Familiarity with healthcare software and technology is an asset.
