We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with solid expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL to design, develop, and support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mainframe technologies within banking/financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design
- Perform coding, unit testing, and debugging of mainframe applications
- Work on batch processing using JCL and ensure smooth job execution
- Develop and optimize DB2 queries and stored procedures
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and UAT support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Dev, Business Analysts)
- Ensure code quality, follow coding standards, and adhere to SDLC processes
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- COBOL programming
- CICS (Customer Information Control System)
- DB2 (Database design & SQL queries)
- JCL (Job Control Language)
- Experience in mainframe development and support
- Knowledge of batch and online processing systems
