Qualification: B.E/B.Tech Mechanical / Automotive or related field.

Location : Chennai

Key Skills

- 3 to 9 years of experience in Automotive BIW Closures parts design using CATIA V5
- Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body closures from concept to production stage/ Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body structure from concept to production stage
- Able to develop master sections and feasible study
- Door opening / articulation study, Door hinge Axis layout, Door components packaging study
- Basic knowledge in door / closures assembly kinematics




- Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.
- Positive understanding of sheet metal parts material, manufacturing process, assembly, crashworthiness
- Good knowledge in GD&T;, sheet metal tolerance, DFM & DFA
- Provide design solutions based on CAE feedback
- Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.
- Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.
