Job Description

Alpha Group of Institutions is seeking a qualified, organised, and tech-savvy Librarian to manage the school library at Alpha CBSE School, Porur. The role involves overseeing library operations, supporting academic programs, and fostering a reading culture among students.

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Library Science
- Minimum 1 years of experience in Library Management (preferably in a school setting)
- Experience handling school libraries is an added advantage.
- Female candidates preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day library operations including issue, return, and maintenance of books
- Catalogue, classify, and organise library resources




- Maintain accurate library records and inventory
- Manage digital and manual library management systems
- Assist students and teachers in accessing learning resources
- Promote reading habits and support academic activities
- Coordinate book procurement, stock verification, and audits
- Ensure proper upkeep of library infrastructure and materials
