Special Educator Key Responsibilities 1 Classroom Support Behavior Management Manage and support children exhibiting behavioral concerns such as tantrums crying hitting throwing objects or withdrawal Implement positive behavior support strategies to help children adjust to classroom routines and peer interactions Create a structured protected and nurturing learning environment 2 Individualized Education Planning IEP Assess students academic social and emotional needs through observations and formal informal tools Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans IEPs tailored to each student s unique needs Monitor progress and revise IEPs periodically in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team 3 Student Engagement Design and adapt learning activities to promote participation and interest in class activities Incorporate sensory integration and calming exercises e g breathing movement breaks mindfulness as part of daily routine Foster self-regulation communication and peer interaction skills 4 Parental Guidance Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child s progress challenges and strategies for support at home Conduct parent meetings and workshops to help them understand and support their child s needs 5 Team Coordination Collaborate with general educators and counselors to ensure holistic support Provide input in planning inclusive classroom strategies and co-teaching models when required 6 Documentation Reporting Maintain detailed records of observations progress reports and interventions Assist in preparing reports for school records referrals or external assessments Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Special Education RCI recognised Knowledge of inclusive education practices child development behaviour management and IEP processes Strong communication patience empathy and classroom management skills Desirable Attributes Creative and versatile teaching approaches Skilled in using visual aids sensory materials and technology tools Ability to remain calm in challenging situations and model positive behavior No Salary Bar for the Deserving Candidate Job Type Full-time Pay From 30 000 00 per month Expected Start Date 29 07 2025
