The Java API Developer will be responsible for offshore development and support of enterprise-grade Java APIs and microservices for banking platforms. The role focuses on high-quality implementation, secure-by-design coding, and reliable delivery while working closely with the Technical Lead, architects, and offshore teams in an Agile model.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain Java-based REST APIs and microservices aligned to agreed architecture and standards.
- Implement business requirements with strong focus on code quality, performance, and security.
- Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and external services.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support defect resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Support release activities, production deployments, and incident resolution.
- Coordinate effectively with onshore leads and offshore development teams.
Core Technical Skills :
- 58 years of experience in Java (8+/11+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC,Microservices
- Robust experience in RESTful API development
- Working knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT, basic encryption)
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and code quality tools
- Agile delivery experience in onshore/offshore model
BFSI domain experience preferred
