The Safety Manager will lead the Health Safety and Environment HSE function across Sewage Treatment Plants STP Effluent Treatment Plants ETP Water Treatment Plants WTP Demineralization DM Plants and Valve systems The role involves developing policies ensuring compliance managing audits and building a robust safety culture that drives zero-incident operations Key Responsibilities Develop implement and oversee HSE policies systems and standards for all plants Lead safety audits risk assessments and incident investigations Ensure compliance with Factories Act PCB norms OSHA standards ISO 45001 and other statutory regulations Monitor and enforce safe handling of chemicals electrical systems pipelines and confined spaces Drive safety awareness programs training modules and skill development for engineers operators and contractors Supervise and guide Safety Engineers and Officers across sites Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work PTW systems for high-risk activities Conduct fire drills emergency response planning and disaster management exercises Liaise with regulatory bodies external auditors contractors and management for compliance and certification Analyze safety performance data and prepare MIS reports for top management Recommend process improvements engineering controls and behavioral safety initiatives Key Skills Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills In-depth knowledge of industrial safety standards in water wastewater treatment plants Expertise in HIRA LOTO chemical safety confined space entry and emergency response Excellent communication reporting and training delivery skills Ability to build a safety-first culture across teams Eligibility B E Diploma in Safety Industrial Environmental Engineering NEBOSH IOSH Safety Management certifications required 2-5 years of HSE experience in heavy industry utilities with at least 5 years in a managerial role Job Type Full-time Work Location In person
