The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring smooth functioning of all clinical and non-clinical services. The role involves managing OPD and IPD operations, driving business performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing patient experience, and achieving financial and operational targets. The incumbent will work closely with medical, nursing, and support service teams to deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Hospital Operations

- Oversee the overall functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, Diagnostics, OT, Pharmacy, Billing, and other support services.
- Ensure seamless coordination among clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing standardized processes and best practices.
- Monitor patient flow, turnaround time (TAT), bed occupancy, and service efficiency.
- Ensure optimum utilization of hospital resources and infrastructure.

Business & Revenue Management

- Drive revenue growth and profitability of the hospital.
- Monitor daily business performance, patient volumes, and key revenue indicators.
- Prepare and review operational MIS and business reports.
- Support marketing, referral development, and business development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising patient care.

P&L; Management

- Own and monitor the unit's Profit & Loss (P&L;) performance.
- Track departmental budgets, operational expenses, and revenue realization.




- Ensure adherence to financial targets and profitability goals.
- Monitor procurement, inventory, and resource utilization to improve financial performance.

Patient Experience

- Ensure high standards of patient satisfaction and service quality.
- Address patient complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Improve patient engagement and enhance overall patient experience.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with biomedical waste management, fire safety, infection control, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives across departments.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and operational teams.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and operational meetings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Performance Monitoring

- Monitor and analyze KPIs including:
- OPD & IPD volumes
- Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR)
- Average Length of Stay (ALOS)
- Average Revenue Per Occupied Bed (ARPOB)
- Patient Satisfaction Scores
- Revenue and EBITDA performance
- Cost optimization initiatives
- Billing accuracy and collection efficiency

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with doctors, consultants, nursing, diagnostics, finance, HR, SCM, and support functions.
- Build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support accreditation, inspections, and regulatory visits.
