Sales Director Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred but not mandatory) Role Overview: The Area Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and leading the Sales Engineer team within an assigned territory. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic account ownership, high-value opportunity management, and team coaching . The Area Manager is expected to be deeply involved in customer discussions, technical evaluations, negotiations, and closures , while also building a strong, disciplined sales team. Product Portfolio: The Area Manager will lead sales for a premium portfolio of global process-equipment brands including: Own sales targets and revenue performance for the assigned territory o Key accounts Key Account & Strategic Opportunity Management Personally manage key and strategic accounts in the territory o Commercial negotiations Sales Team Leadership & Coaching Lead, mentor,



and develop a team of Sales Engineers Accompany Sales Engineers on customer visits when required, especially for: o Key accounts Review performance regularly and define action plans to achieve targets o Applications across pharma, chemical, R&D;, pilot plants, and manufacturing ~ o Correct product selection and configuration ~ Act as an escalation point for complex technical or commercial issues o Special pricing and commercial approvals o Inside sales / quotation teams o Service teams for installation and post-sales support ~ Market Development & Intelligence ~ o Brand positioning o Sales forecasting o Sales Funnel usage ~ Solid techno-commercial sales experience in capital equipment / process equipment Ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on in the field Ability to balance short-term closures with long-term account development Well-trained, motivated Sales Engineer team
