We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Lab Chemist to join our cosmetics manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing raw materials and finished cosmetic products, ensuring quality standards, and supporting product development activities.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of cosmetic formulations, laboratory procedures, and quality control practices within the cosmetics industry.
Key Responsibilities
Perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished cosmetic products
Maintain laboratory records, test reports, and documentation accurately
Ensure products meet quality and safety standards before release
Assist in cosmetic formulation development and product improvement
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
Monitor stability studies and product shelf-life testing
Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and laboratory safety procedures
Investigate quality issues and support corrective actions
Coordinate with production and quality teams for process improvements
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or related field
1–3 years of experience in cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical laboratory preferred
Freshers with robust academic background may also apply
Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulations
Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and quality standards
Basic understanding of GMP and safety regulations
