We are setting up an in-house laboratory and quality control function for our biofertilizer plant. The Microbiologist will manage lab operations, ensure product quality, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Establish and manage microbiology lab infrastructure and SOPs.
Conduct microbial culture analysis, CFU counts, contamination checks, and strain purity tests.
Monitor fermentation processes and inoculum preparation.
Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, and FCO guidelines.
Maintain QC documentation and support audits.
Collaborate with production and train staff on microbiological handling.
Qualifications
B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology.
2–4 years of industrial microbiology experience (biofertilizer/fermentation preferred).
Hands-on expertise in microbial culture techniques and lab equipment.
Robust knowledge of regulatory standards and GLP/GMP practices.
