5+ years of experience in web development with 3+ years specifically in Liferay (DXP/CE).
Deep understanding of Liferay platform capabilities, including Site and Page Management, Assets, Workflows, and Staging.
Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
Proficiency with Liferay frameworks: Service Builder, Portlet APIs, and Liferay-specific tag libraries.
Frontend development skills with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React (optional), Freemarker, and JSP.
Robust understanding of Liferay Permissions, Roles, and User Management.
Experience in deploying and managing Liferay instances (Tomcat, Apache, or other containers).
Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of databases (MySQL,



Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Liferay's database schema.
Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Nice to Have:
Liferay Certification(s)
Experience with Liferay Cloud or Liferay PaaS environments
Exposure to headless CMS or GraphQL-based implementations
Knowledge of SSO, LDAP integration, or SAML for authentication
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO optimization within Liferay
