Job Responsibilities
Create, test, and optimize 3-axis or multi-axis CNC machining programs using CAM software or manual G/M codes.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding methods.
Set work offsets and accurately fixture raw materials on the VMC machine.
Perform machine setup and run trial components.
Monitor spindle speeds, feed rates, and machining operations to ensure quality and productivity.
Make tool offset corrections and process adjustments to prevent machining errors.
Inspect finished components and maintain dimensional accuracy as per drawings.
Follow shop safety procedures and maintain machine cleanliness.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in VMC programming and machine operation.
Robust knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and fixtures.
Experience with CAM software and manual G-code programming.
Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
