Role & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily transportation schedules for Canadian logistics operations.
Coordinate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, route issues, and operational challenges.
Prepare and manage dispatch plans, load assignments, and delivery schedules.
Ensure productive utilization of trucks, drivers, and available resources.
Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, updates, and service requirements.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and operational reports.
Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to improve delivery performance and reduce operational costs.
Ensure compliance with Canadian transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Handle urgent operational issues and provide quick solutions to maintain service quality.
Analyze logistics data and suggest improvements for route planning and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Candidate Profile




Experience as a Logistics Planner, Transportation Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar role in the logistics/trucking industry.
Knowledge of Canadian logistics operations, transportation networks, and freight processes.
Strong understanding of route planning, scheduling, and load optimization.
Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, or logistics platforms is preferred.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail with solid organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience with Canadian trucking, freight brokerage, or fleet operations will be an advantage.
