About the Role

One of the Big4s is hiring experienced and detail-oriented professionals for the role of US Tax Associate – 1040 Preparer. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in preparing individual US tax returns (Form 1040) and supporting tax compliance engagements for US clients.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040) along with related schedules and supporting forms.
Handle tax documentation including W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, investment statements, and foreign asset reporting documents.
Ensure accurate tax calculations, compliance, and timely completion of assigned engagements.
Perform tax research and resolve basic to intermediate tax-related queries.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and supporting documentation.
Analyze financial statements, income records, deductions, credits, and supporting schedules.
Maintain confidentiality and adherence to client compliance standards and internal quality processes.




Support managers and senior associates during busy season and contribute to process improvements.
Ensure workpapers and tax files are properly documented and maintained.
Stay updated with changes in US tax laws and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in US Taxation with solid exposure to 1040 preparation.
Good understanding of US Individual Tax concepts and tax compliance processes.
Experience working on tax software such as GoSystem, CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Positive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate/ MBA/ MCOM/ CPA / EA candidates preferred.
Experience handling HNI or expatriate tax returns will be an added advantage.
Exposure to state tax returns and international tax reporting is preferred.
