Role & responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial record keeping.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor budgets, expenses, and fund utilization across projects.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and donor guidelines.
Coordinate with auditors and support internal and statutory audit processes.
Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and project accounts on a regular basis.
Prepare financial reports and utilization statements for funders and donor agencies.
Liaise with funders and respond to financial queries in a timely and qualified manner.
Support financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Work closely with program teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications
MBA in Finance
Experience
5 to 6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
Experience in the development sector, NGO, or donor-funded projects is desirable but not mandatory.
Required Skills & Competencies
Robust knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in interacting with funders, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
