Infection Control Surveillance
Conduct regular surveillance for Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).
Monitor infection trends and prepare surveillance reports.
Identify and report infection outbreaks promptly.
Infection Prevention Practices
Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, sterilization, and isolation protocols.
Monitor adherence to infection control policies in all departments.
Audit & Compliance
Conduct infection control audits in wards, ICUs, OTs, and other clinical areas.
Ensure compliance with NABH and hospital infection control standards.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Training & Education
Conduct awareness programs and training sessions for staff on infection control practices.
Educate healthcare workers regarding biomedical waste management and safety measures.
Biomedical Waste Management




Monitor proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste as per regulations.
Ensure protected handling of contaminated materials.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain infection control records, audit reports, and surveillance data.
Prepare monthly infection control reports and presentations.
Coordination & Support
Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, housekeeping, CSSD, and microbiology departments.
Support outbreak investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council Registration.
Certification or training in infection control preferred.
3 - 8 years of experience in infection control or critical care preferred.
